Parent/family Scholarships from Children’s Special Health Services, DPHHS and Montana PTI.

20 parent/family scholarships are being offered on a first-come, first-serve basis,  to any individual with a child who has a disability or special health care need*, to attend the annual MCEC/MCASE Conference held in Missoula at the Hilton Garden Inn this year OR the ability to join the Virtual Conference to be held on Thursday for the Philip Schweigert’s morning and afternoon sessions..

*A child or youth with special health care needs is under the age of 22 and has or is at increased risk for a chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional condition and also requires health and related services of a type or amount beyond that required by children generally.

Scholarships are generously provided by Children’s Special Health Services, DPHHS and Montana PTI.

The scholarship will cover registration cost and up to 3 nights lodging (one room)  at the Holiday Inn Express (across the street from the conference).

You will be notified once the scholarships are awarded and then provided the link to the registration website.

Scholarships are limited to 1 scholarship per family.

Deaf-Blind Support Staff Scholarship

Scholarships are being offered on a first-come, first-serve basis, to individuals who are supporting children who are deaf-blind*, to attend Philip Schweigert’ s sessions at the annual MCEC/MCASE Conference held in Missoula at the Hilton Garden Inn this year.

In addition, we are excited to announce the addition of a Virtual Conference option for Philip Schweigert’s morning and afternoon sessions.  If this is an option you are interested in, please fill out the scholarship information below in the link below.

Scholarship Appplication Deaf-Blind Support Staff

* Deaf-Blind refers to an individual (birth through age 21) who has combined hearing and vision problems that are significant enough to require considerations (such as specialized adaptations, modifications, and strategies) when presenting information or interacting with the child, then that child, along with family members and service providers, is eligible to receive services from the Montana Deaf-Blind Project.

Scholarships are generously provided by the Montana Deaf-Blind Project.

The scholarship will cover registration cost and up to 3 nights lodging at the Holiday Inn Express (across the street from the conference). Attendance to the full conference will be considered through discussion with project staff.

You will be notified once the scholarships are awarded and then provided the link to the registration website.

Team members supporting students who are deaf-blind across multiple environments are encouraged to apply. For example: MSDB outreach staff, teachers, para professionals, SLPs, Part C FECs, and caregivers.

University Students:

Montana CEC is sponsoring a limited number of scholarships on a first-come, first-serve basis to students enrolled in the Education Department of one of the Montana Universities with a goal of becoming a Special Education Teacher or Related Service Provider (Speech, OT, PT, Psychologist). The scholarship will cover registration cost for all 3 days as well as 3 nights lodging for the 2020 MCEC/MCASE Conference.

Educator Teams

Montana CEC is sponsoring two (2)  teams  of two educators from each CSPD region.

These ten scholarships are being offered on a first-come, first-serve basis to TEAMS of two educators. Teams should include a combination of personnel such as general educators, special educators, paraeducators, administrators, related service personnel, parent and/or agency personnel.

The scholarship will cover registration cost for all 3 days as well as 3 nights lodging (one room) for two people for the 2020 MCEC/MCASE Conference.

EDUCATOR TEAMS APPLICATION

CEC Conference Registration Scholarships have all been filled.

The OPI Montana Autism Education Project is offering a limited number of registration scholarships for the Montana CEC Conference to be held in Missoula on February 19-21, 2020.

The scholarships are only available to special education staff working in Montana public school districts.  Please be sure that you will be approved to attend the conference before requesting a scholarship. The scholarships are for the conference registration only. OPI will not provide travel reimbursement (gas, food, lodging.)

University students receive one-day scholarships for the day of their choice.
